Covid - 19 Information

COVID-19 Guidelines for Families at the Drama Kids York Drama Academy

• If your child is feeling unwell do not attend class. Children who are unwell are not able to participate effectively in an energetic, fast-paced class.
• Adults are asked not to enter the classroom with their child unless necessary.
• All class teachers have been double vaccinated and had their 3rd booster.
• Please encourage students to use the toilet before coming to class and ensure they have washed their hands before entering the premises.
• Hand sanitiser and tissues will continue to be provided for the use of students and teachers.
• The 'no-touching' rule will continue to apply and children will be reminded regularly.

ONLINE CLASSES (not currently running - we will switch to online teaching should government restrictions require us to do so at any point)

Our online classes are held through Zoom. They are 1 hour long and we cover the same curriculum as in face to face classes, which has been specially adapted for online teaching.

We keep our children safe online and safe in the classroom!

We send out a new link for every single session to protect our children as strongly as we possibly can.

We NEVER allow children to be identified by name - on zoom photos, class photos or in accompanying text. We are amazingly proud of our students - but safety through anonymity takes priority!

We ensure that parents understand they can take photos of their own child participating, but not of the screen.

Children are made aware that they must remain on the floor at all times and not jump/ climb on and off furniture.
